The Irish Medicine's Board was established to protect and enhance public and animal health through the regulation of human and veterinary medical products. The IMB regulates clinical trials, as well as monitoring and inspecting products on the market to ensure their safety and efficacy.

IDI Irish Decontamination Institute

The Irish Association of Sterile Services Managers was established in 1989 and changed its name to Irish Decontamination Institute in January 2011. Its aim is to ensure its members are up to date with developments in sterile services and to network this information to hospital sterile service departments throughout Ireland.
